The Economic Development Administration (part of the U.S. Department of Commerce) recently released the initial FY 2011 Federal Funding Opportunity announcement for its Planning and Local Technical Assistance Programs.
These programs provide funding to economically distressed communities to develop planning and technical expertise to support comprehensive, entrepreneurial, and innovation-based economic development efforts resulting in enhanced regional competitiveness.
