Cities and towns in Oklahoma may apply for grants to support their volunteer Citizen Corps Partner Programs, which include:

  • CERT: Community Emergency Response Team
  • VIPS: Volunteers in Police Service
  • Fire Corps
  • Neighborhood Watch
  • MRC: Medical Reserve Corps

Due to the short time between the application deadline (March 2, 2012) and deadline for spending funds (June 30, 2012), there may be little competition for these grants. If your town has one of these programs already in place, this is an opportunity to quickly inject funds with no matching requirement.

This application (PDF) explains the details of the program and application.
