Additional money for bike paths and access lanes

Here's another source for bike paths and bike lanes.  The amount is low, only $10,000, but could be used along with an Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Dept. Trails grant.

Bikes Belong Offers Funding for Bicycle Advocacy and Facilities Programs

The Bikes Belong Grants Program strives to put more people on bicycles more often by funding important and influential projects that leverage federal funding and build momentum for bicycling in communities across the U.S. These projects include bike paths, lanes, and routes, as well as bike parks, mountain bike trails, BMX facilities, and large-scale bicycle advocacy initiatives. Eligible applicants: New organizations that are not yet legally nonprofit organizations may submit an application with the assistance of another nonprofit that has agreed to serve as fiscal agent. Bikes Belong will not fund individuals. Because of the program's limited funds, it rarely awards grants to organizations and communities that have received Bikes Belong funding within the last three years. Award ceiling: $10,000. Application deadline: August 24, 2009; and November 23, 2009.
